- I personally used Ebbinghaus’s Formula and it worked for me. For example, I would read a topic on Monday. Prepare its notes on the same day and revise them once before going to sleep. Then on Tuesday morning, I would revise these notes again. That’s how my week would go and on Sunday I would revise what I studied for the entire week (Short Notes). At the end of the month (For the last three days) I would read the notes that I had prepared for the entire month. I wouldn’t read anything new during those three days but just revise my notes.
- It’s very important to create a timeline and follow it. Even if you can follow it 80% of the time, it will be enough.
- Try to relate the topics to your real-life and try to build a connection between the book and the real world. This will help you in revising and remembering the information for longer.
- Try to find the method that best works for you. Every one has a way of doing things so try to find the method that works for you.
I completed my entire syllabus in 5 months and in 15 days revised it all. I studied my paper one along with Paper Second and then spent 15 days solving paper first questions and solving reasoning and DI (Data Interpretation) questions. Thus, I completed my entire preparation in 6 months’ time.
